I  just played a little today. I was reminded Sunday night of a song I loved when I was younger. It’s a song we sang at the church I grew up in ~ There is Joy in Serving Jesus. I found it in an old hymnbook and played through it a few times this morning. I still love it! Oddly, playing didn’t hurt my hands, but the foot that I had surgery on a few months a go hurt a bit. It’s my right foot and using the pedal hurt a little. I’m assuming that the pain will go away as I play more. I’m still in physical therapy, and it’s slowly getting stronger.

Playing is so good for the soul. I should have never stopped. I think cutting back my playing time (from 4 hours) would have been good enough. We’ll see. At any rate, I’m very happy to be playing a little now 🙂

So it’s been nearly two years since I’ve blogged. I’ve not played much, due to various health issues. The arthritis is no better, but I want to play my piano. I’ve hardly touched it in two years. The arthritis is not going to get better, so I think I’ll just work with what I have.

I’m going to start playing again, gently. Nothing strenuous, but something. Maybe I’ll just play through the hymnbook to start.

That’s all I’ve got!
